Dr. Prendergast graduated from Xavier University with a bachelor of science in 1983. He subsequently received his Ph.D. in molecular biology in 1987 from the Medical College of Ohio. He attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and graduated in 1991. He did his general surgery and urologic surgical training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is board certified from the American Board of Urology and is licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky. He has authored more than 30 articles in books, abstract, and peer-reviewed journals.
