Born and raised in Louisville, Dr. John Jurige graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville in 1980.  He completed his urology residency training in 1989 at University of Louisville.  He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Jurige is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Urological Association.  He serves as an assistant clinical professor of urology at the University of Louisville.

Specialties

Dr. Jurige's areas of special interest include female urology and incontinence management, microsurgical vasectomy reversal, erectile dysfunction, and prostate cancer treatment.  He is especially interested in less invasive treatment options for prostate cancer, including laparoscopy, brachytherapy (radiation seeds), and ablative techniques such as HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound).
